David Borges Remembered After Fatal Wenatchee Motorcycle Crash At North Western Avenue And Locust Avenue
Wenatchee community members are mourning 70-year-old David Borges after a Friday morning crash on North Western Avenue claimed Borges’s life.
The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Locust Avenue intersection, where Borges was riding a motorcycle northbound.
Investigators said 61-year-old Byron Jones of East Wenatchee drove a pickup truck and attempted a left turn onto Locust Avenue before the vehicles collided.
Emergency crews responded quickly and tried to save Borges, but officials pronounced Borges dead at the scene.
Jones was not injured, and officials reported no impairment indicators while they continued reviewing the turn, timing, scene evidence, and witness accounts.
Authorities closed several blocks of North Western Avenue for hours as investigators mapped the area and cleared the roadway.
Police said the investigation remains active, no citations have been issued, and officials have not formally determined fault.
Friends and neighbors remember Borges as a familiar local presence, and the sudden loss has deeply affected many in Wenatchee.
